Made by our friend Sarah Cox, a San Francisco pastry chef, this chewy, crunchy, nutty nougat is exactly what we were looking all over Italy for (and found right in our back yard!).

Sarah's nougat is made with local honey, candied pistachios, and roasted, salted and peppered hazelnuts and almonds.

Similar to divinity, nougat is a sweet and chewy dessert made with egg whites and nuts. Differing from divinity, though, nougat is made with honey (not corn syrup or gelatin).
